Owner/ Designer Kep Niles, have been perfecting his vision for 10 years; it wasn’t until August of 2009 he decided to take it off the back burner and fully pursue his Brand. His passion has always been art. Kep feels that we are all artist in some way or another by the way we dress, to the way we buy that certain vehicle and then dress it up with all sorts of accessories such as rims, paint jobs, etc. While in Jr. High, Clothing & Music became a big part of who he was as a teenager and who he was in school, believing he had a very good eye for what brand was hot at the time and what looked good. “I really enjoyed when I would spend a good amount of money on my gear and get all sorts of compliments. I even had people that wanted to buy my clothes off my back. I thought to myself if it’s this easy to make something look good. I want my own brand to where I get paid every time someone likes it enough to purchases my product.”

Intrigued by the power of brands, Kep decided he wanted his own brand, something that he could start from scratch and watch grow into an empire all while enjoying his successes throughout his life-time.

UrbanSteez: Tell us your name & how you came up with the name for your clothing line?

Magnus Niles Owner/Designer, I’ve always been into art and every artist signs there name on every piece art work after there done, so I wanted to do something similar but do it with clothing. So that’s why I use my name nickname Kep Niles.

UrbanSteez: So when and how did you get started?

Kep: I really started perfecting my brand in 2002, I took a marketing class and in that class we had a project that required us to create an item from scratch and present it as if it were a real product in the market, and because I already had an idea for a clothing company, that’s what I went with, After presenting it to the class I received an amazing response and about half of the class wanted to buy the clothing I just presented. So I knew that I was off to a good start.

UrbanSteez: Thats wassup! Marketing is my main thing... So, what is the concept behind your clothing and designs?

Kep: Coming up with the idea was simple, I  never liked over designed clothes, I was always into the simple but fresh look so I thought why not create something that people can relate to. Our goal is to have people not only wear our brand but to feel like they are the brand. FRESH CLASSIC CLEAN.

UrbanSteez: I can dig that!! Is there a specific group of people that you are trying to grab if so explain?

Kep: Anyone who takes pride in what they wear, and have a good taste for the finer things in life.

UrbanSteez: What can we expect from your clothing line in the future?

Kep: Expect to see us in large department and specialty stores around the world, Also expect to see our clothing on athletes, music artists from rapper’s to R&B singers to celebrities. And most importantly wherever you look you will see our brand.

UrbanSteez: Good Stuff! What are your influences for your clothing line?

Kep: There are so many influences such as Art, great books,music, travel destinations & successful designers such as Roberto Cavalli & Ralph Lauren.

UrbanSteez: Niiice.. What do you feel separates your line from the rest?

Kep: People can relate to the brand and almost anyone can wear our clothes, So many brands that are out now, are only targeted to one or two crowds.

UrbanSteez: Give us one fashion NO NO?

Kep:(Picture This)….A dude wearing a FRESH hat with a CLASSIC Shirt and some CLEAN jeans, but got on a pair of Busted sneakers (NOT A GOOD LOOK) If your gonna do it, make sure your FRESH from head to toe.

Kep: Thank you for all the support. I want people to know that this isn’t a get rich quick company and move onto the next thing, our goal is to grow with our customer and be in business 20 + years from now, while maintaining brand and customer loyalty.
