And when the beat started Angel Haze (born rakia wilson) was sure to produce the fire that instrumented and produced the music we love so much today. Her favorite phrase "I say that I'm the best simply because i am." Proving that day by day each time she writes and records. "Im at a low point in my music career and at this point but there's no place to go but up" she states, "I elevate each time i write so that i can never get boring". With a swagg thats top knotch its understandable as to why they refer to her as "yuhng swagg" after hearing her spit you have no choice but to recognize. At only 16 she's bringing heat that most female rappers cant bring in their 30's . She cites one of her main female influences as "nicki minaj of young money". "When i hear her spit everytime, i realize i have to be better" motivation is one thing she does not lack "Put me on your track and i guarantee i'll make it better". She takes what is not present in the game right now and makes it evident. With so much vocal talent she exceeds female emcees by far, singing her own hook "diamond girl". The self proclaimed diamond girl has never ceased to heat up any beat given to her. Its apparent that she's not only the future, but the here and now combined with the past and whats to come. She's the best and on record deals she state "yeah ive been lied to a couple of times about record deals but it just wasnt my time besides i want to make things hot when im in the streets before i do it in the booth". Never underestimate her ability to make you scream, jump, body rock, or even bust shots. She's got it all.

My name is Angel Haze and I represent BRONX NY!!! Urban Steez: How did you come up with your music name? Angel Haze: I used to have the name yuhng swagg, which was given to me by a friend of mine but as I progressed I contemplated the origin of my name and I figured it should be something I liked, hence the name Nina (which means girl in Spanish) mainly because when people would hear me their instant reaction was almost always the same they’d be like who’s that girl!. And Id be like I’m that girl Urban Steez: I like that!! I was thinking Nina like a weapon/ strap ….How long have you been doing music and what made you get into music? Angel Haze: For a little under a year now I started in February of 08 I used to love poetry then I heard Nicki Minaj and the rest was a wrap Urban Steez: You sound pretty good to be new to the music game. How would you describe your style and why? Angel Haze: My style is different from any female rapper you may have ever heard I’d describe it as being complex but surfaced; my voice may be soft but my lyrics are RAW – I don’t JUST rap about sex. I can get intricately lyrical and have you mentally erected! Urban Steez: I see.. If you had to pick which label to be signed to what would it be and why? Angel Haze: Its definitely be Def Jam, SoSo DEF or Next Selection I love Ryan Leslie and Jermaine Dupri’s production, I also love Polo the Don. Honestly any record label who can help ensure my success; because behind every artist there’s management Urban Steez: I can see you doing things with Next Selection...Who would you want to collaborate with in the music industry and why? Angel Haze: OMG! Kanye West first and foremost because I am completely enamored with his entire being from his lyrical composition to his beat making capabilities, he’s SEX (and that is a good thing)! Then there’d be Drake of young money I love his flow it’s just so on point. Wayne of course because he reminds me of myself, lyrical but at the same time doesn’t give a damn about what he says. Then Nicki last but not least and obviously because she’s CRACK in the flesh. Urban Steez: You did have a few tracks that had me like, damn she sound like Weezy…What are you working on now and when can fans expect to hear more from you? Angel Haze: I’m actually working on getting signed lol, and a mix tape with the hottest remakes of almost every song out now. Fans can expect it really soon, sooner than soon. Urban Steez: That’s wassup! Who are your influences? Angel Haze: Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Drake, Kanye, Lupe, Jill Scott, T R U E S T Urban Steez: You might as well said the whole Young Money camp lol.. What do you think of the hip hop/ music world right now? Angel Haze: I think that it’s in heavy need of resuscitation, its evaporating and I and a few others are the only people who are left to save it. Urban Steez: That’s a strong statement, but I feel you… So, what do you plan to do with your first royalty check? Angel Haze: Investing (real estate, clothing line etc.) BUYING MY MOM A HOUSE. I also want to start my own independent label I have a lot of friends who are capable and need to be put out Urban Steez: Who can forget about mom?!?! What car do you feel will serve you right when you make it big? Angel Haze: My moms’ Chrysler 300c. I’ll reimburse her of course Urban Steez: Lol cool…Who is your celebrity crush?
