My name is Erica Pinkett and I am from Boston Mass. Urban Steez: How long have you been modeling? Erica: I first started modeling when I was 17. Urban Steez: Did you always want to be a model or was it just something that you stumbled upon? Erica: People would always say, ”you should model,” but I never took it serious until I went to d.c. to attend Howard university. At Howard, everybody is hustling trying to figure out what they are going to do with the rest of their lives. So I started modeling for this urban store in D.C. called “Up against the wall,” and I’ve been modeling ever since. Urban Steez: So I no you just worked out something with the CEO of ExclusiveFashion&Furs Polo, how did you and polo work that out? Erica: I was watching “ heir to the streets” and saw him promoting his line and was very interested. So luckily he shouted his digits out on the show and I gave him a call. As soon as I hit him up expressing interest in his line, he saw my modeling portfolio. And ever since we’ve been making moves. Urban Steez: That’s wassup! What would you say is your best feature and why? Erica: I love my legs. I think strong legs are very attractive. Not to mention, when I wear a dress, the crowd goes crazy over them legs! lol Urban Steez: Im a legs man myself and I will have to agree. Nice Legs!! What do guys say is your best feature? Erica: Guys love my hips and my lips. Urban Steez: Lol I figured that! What is your ultimate goal in life? Erica: My ultimate goal in life would be to a successful psychologist and business woman. Urban Steez: That’s wassup, “Miss Independent”! What are your hobbies? Erica: I love to work out, read, shop, and travel with friends. Urban Steez: In your opinion what are the negatives and positives of modeling? Erica: In this modeling game, you can’t be a sucka! I say that because as an attractive female, there will be snakes out there lying to you telling you they can get you this gig or that gig if you give them something in return. That isn’t someone you want to work with! You also may come across someone who is charging you up front to work with them. If they are professional and see something in you, you won’t have to pay anything until you start making money. And the only person who you should be paying is your manager and you shouldn’t have to pay him/her any more then 20%. Some perks in this game are that you get to make several important connections that could be of use to you in the future. And if you are smart, you can learn how to run your own business just by paying attention to all of the moves being made around you. Urban Steez: DON’T BE A SUCKA!!! Name one nasty habit you have without scaring the readers lol? Erica: One nasty habit I have is eating McDonald’s. Gross! But so damn good! lol Urban Steez: That’s horrible!!... What would it take for a guy to win your heart? Erica: For a guy to win my heart you have to #1) believe in god. Now I didn’t say you have to be religious, just know that there is someone greater than us. #2) You have to be a natural hustler! I didn’t say you need to be a street hustler, I just mean you have to be about you business at all times. #3) You have to be a leader, I don’t go for the sucka ass followers. #4) Last but most important, you have to treat me like a queen. I have been through the bullshit relationships, now I need a king looking for his queen! Urban Steez: Good stuff. Any advice you want to give to people in your position or things you may have learned in the process of becoming model? Erica: Never let your morals slide for a deal! Once you do that, you lose respect with a lot of people. Always keep them niggas guessing! I would also say to keep grinding no matter how many people hate on you, or tell you that you ain’t gonna do shit with your career. 9 times out of 10, they’re hatin because they can’t do what you do! And if one person says no, look past it because someone will say yes! Urban Steez: That’s real…Any pet peeves? Erica: Several!!! I hate when dudes holla out loud in the street. If you see a lady, she isn’t going to respond to how you would holla at a chickhead! Ya dig! I also hate bad hygiene! You could be Puffy himself, once I smell something that ain’t right, I’m ghost. Urban Steez: LMAO.. Damn that’s the worst, I feel you! What CD is in your sound system right now? Erica: T.I.’S newest album. It keeps me motivated in the morning before I go to work. Urban Steez: Being that your hot and you attract a lot of thirsty males, give us males ONE of your major NO NO’s? Erica: A major no no for me besides bad hygiene is disrespect. I’d rather date a broke dude who has mad respect for me than a rich disrespectful dude! Urban Steez: Any celebrity crushes? Erica: I must say, diddy does it for me! It’s just his natural swag! He is always making moves, and that to me is sexy! Urban Steez: Diddy could possibly be the flyest man on the planet!! How can fans, and business heads contact you?
