My name is Polka Dot. I was born in southern California, I reside in Detroit, MI now. Urban Steez: How long have you been modeling? Polka Dot: I have been modeling since 2006. Urban Steez: Did you always want to be a model or was it just something that you stumbled upon? Polka Dot: I am a singer/songwriter. I was doing a hook for a rap group when he asked me could he pay me to do a photoshoot. The rest is history. Urban Steez: That’s Wassup! I have to ask, how did you come up with your name Polka Dot? Polka Dot: Lol, this is the million dollar question. I was hanging in Atl when I met some friends (won't disclose names) I had on a Polka Dot dress and it was as lame as that lol. It just stuck. Most people usually just call me Dot or P-Diddy. Urban Steez: Damn, just like that? (lol) Imma have to see you in this Polka Dot Dress lol… What would you say is your best feature and why? Polka Dot: I would have to say my legs because they are like my ass stems lol. Urban Steez: Ass Stems huh, lol okay I will roll with tha! What do GUYS say is your best feature? Polka Dot: Probably my ass or thighs.. Urban Steez: Figures lol! What is your ultimate goal in life? Polka Dot: I am in school now for Communications. I am hoping to use that in my advocacy for felons, ex-cons and teen mothers. I feel like we are all brothers in sisters and that we need to start finding other ways to be a stay positive influences in our community. Urban Steez: I can definitely dig that! So, what are your hobbies? Polka Dot: I love to sing and write. Otherwise I am chilling with my family. I also love to cook so I have dinner parties often. Urban Steez: Yea Right! You love to cook.. Ummmmmmmm yea (smile) So you have writing skills nice. In your opinion what are the negatives and positives of modeling? Polka Dot: Positives there are so many beautiful women in the world we will never run out of new faces. That keeps the modeling industry and HOPEFULLY models on their toes. Positives you get paid for fairly easy work. You get to meet a ton of people. Negatives, you can be the victim of stereotypes. You have to deal with a lot of different personalities. A lot of models in the industry think beauty and booty is enough, and sadly they may be true lol. Urban Steez: Yea it is I hate to say it, it is definitely is not enough if you ask me, but for the majority it is true… Name one nasty habit you have without scaring the readers lol? Polka Dot: Honestly...I don't know personal hygiene is a must. I am too grown be picking my nose or ass lol. Urban Steez: I will give you that! What would it take for a guy to win your heart? Polka Dot: Be honest, have a sense of humor, BE YOU... Urban Steez: Any advice you want to give to people in your position or things you may have learned in the process of becoming model? Polka Dot: Learn the business side. Attend meetings be involved in your own career. When it boils down...it's just that YOUR career! No one will work as hard for you as you will. Don't always look at castings or jobs as you have to get paid always..you have to work on your brand. Above all keep a positive attitude. Urban Steez: Well Said! If you had to pick the ultimate photo shoot what and where would it be? Polka Dot: Wow, um somewhere remote and tropical, the least disturbed by man's touch. Urban Steez: Any pet peeves? Polka Dot: I don't like when people tap me when I am looking right at them. I don't like when guys call me "lil mama". I am not a fan of stupidity. Urban Steez: So, Lil Mama, J/k … What music do you have is in your sound system right now? Polka Dot: I love Kanye, Chrisette Michele, Beyonce of course, really any all good music...so the list goes on and on. Urban Steez: Being that your hot and you attract a lot of thirsty males, give us males ONE of your major NO NO’s? Polka Dot: Being disrespectful. I may dress this way in photoshoots but trust it's for entertainment. Urban Steez: Respect is key! Any celebrity crushes?
