I rarely talk politics, mostly because I find them boring and I don't care for other people's opinions on the subject; however, same sex marriage is something you can't get away from today. Now let me make this clear, just in case you didn't hear me the first time: I don't care about your opinion on the topic. It's my blog, and therefore I'm right. On principle, I find it disgusting that the government has a say in matters of the heart; however, I do understand that legality has a role in marriage seeing that it involves money, property, and often children. That being said, from a purely moral standpoint, it's none of the government's damn business if someone wants to marry a man or woman. If you're a good person, and you've got love in your heart, you're A okay by me.  I find it irrelevant if you're gay, straight, confused, black, white, man, woman, or both, be you, be a good person, and we can break bread (or take shots).  I don't buy the religious standpoint of marriage being wrong between same sex couples. Only God can judge me, therefore YOU cannot. Problem? Take it up with the big guy when you meet him at the pearly gates. Heterosexual marriage isn't exactly batting for the world series anyways, so that argument is out, use it for something else. I'm going to marry a man, but I'll back same sex marriage any day of the week purely because everyone deserves to be treated equally in government if they're a productive law abiding member of society.
