Over 100 days have gone by where there has been an NFL lockout. Players and coaches can't have contact, mini camps can't happen, and potentially games can't be played. So what the NFL is showing me is that because grown men can't get along, the government has to intervene, act as a parent, and assist in coming up with a solution. Now I love sports, they're important to society and my life personally. However, I find it absolutely embarrassing that the government, who has things like terrorism, the budget, and civil rights to tend to has to intervene in such a non important (in the grand scheme of things) entity. I think we actually created the Constitution in less time. We elect a President in less time. In California, it takes us less time to figure out the state budget. But we can't come to a monetary agreement between players and the league in a reasonable time period? The NFL is a business, businesses do this kind of stuff daily. Figure it out, sign some papers, and get on the field, in the locker room, on the sideline, in the press box, and do your job. Appreciate it. Don't let it happen again.
