La'Vintage Tribe 2012

Written by The Steez. Posted in Check My Steez

La'Vintage Tribe was founded in 2012 by Tianna Jenkins. Growing up Tianna was inspired by Raven Symone, and her T.V. show "Thats so raven". At the age of 13 she had dreams of designing things of my own. Tianna, followed through with that dream, and now could finally say she love’s Fashion with a bundle of passion.  A few years ago Tianna had formed a Graphic T-Shirt line with 3 business partners, but due to confusions it didn't go as planned. Her accessory line La'Vintage Tribe is inspired by Aztec & inspirational ideas of my own. She started off with promoting my designs on face-book & twitter to having tons of publicity, interviews, and love all over the world. Recently, Tianna designed some eye-wear, and Signature W.S. Rings for pop star Willow Smith and also has touched base with "interscope's recording  pop Artist Rye-Rye . Tianna is on the verge and continuing to moving forward in her journey to success.

Location: Houston, TX

la-vintage-tribe-350x600Urban Steez: Tell us your name and how you came up with the name for your accessory line?

My name is Tianna Jkae' Jenkins, and I came up with the name of my accessory line in the beginning of 2012. I actually changed the name from "Kandy Coated Accessories" to Kreative Couture designs all the way to La'Vintage Tribe CC.I changed the name because I wanted to be a Lil more upbeat towards the style of my designs, and boom I hit it straight on the nose.

Urban Steez: So when and how did you get started?

Tianna: I got started in the late days of 2009/2010. I always had a passion for fashion as I was growing up, but it became an obsession when I first discovered my talent, and others peeked everything I was setting up for my future.

Urban Steez: What is the concept behind your designs?

Tianna: I designed my 1st pair of Fashion Eye-Wear that same week. I went to the store, and gathered everything I needed to make this design become realistic. The next day I brought it to school, and I had everybody on the hype train (LOL). It was a great feeling to be in that up-coming designer spotlight.

Urban Steez:  Lol, you know you’re doing something right when people jump aboard the “Hype Train”. Is there a specific group of people that you are trying to grab if so explain?

Tianna: I'm trying to grab the High-fashion Runway attention, because every design I create is Runway material. I'm really trying to get Taz Arnold  & Kanye West's attention this year coming. I want them to notice that I have versatile creativity to offer to the industry.

Urban Steez: Nice, knowing that you got of hold of Willow Smith, I can see that happening in the future for you. What can we expect from your accessory line in the future?

Tianna: You can expect shoes, Heels, apparel, and more accessories.

Urban Steez: What are your influences or inspiration behind your designs?

Tianna: My inspiration is Alexander McQueen.

Urban Steez: What do you feel separates your line from the rest?

Tianna: I feel that my ideas set my line far apart from others, because I'm aiming for another direction in this Industry. I'm not saying others are doing it for crazy causes, but I'm doing it to show the industry what's out here. I'm not doing it for the money, I just want to continue to show the world what I'm working on. "Documentation beats conversation all the time".

Urban Steez: I can dig that !! Give us a few fashion tips than can be useful?

Tianna: Fashion Tip#1 DON'T be scared or overwhelmed to be different. Don't Follow the trends set the trends, but create the originality. Words to Up-Coming designers: Strive for greatness, and Let your talent move you in the right direction. You have to make some sacrifices when it comes to fashion, but sacrifices equals rewards, and rewards equals success.

Urban Steez:  Good Stuff! Give us one major “fashion NO-NO”?

Tianna: Don't Over think fashion. I see a lot of folks who try hard to match head to toe. Stand out let your textiles and fabric lead the way.

Urban Steez: What have you learned being an up and coming line, Good and Bad?

Tianna:  I've learned that originality will always take you a long way in this industry. You will always have people hating on anything you present, whether it's good or bad people will always talk negative mainly because your success is beginning to show.

Urban Steez:  What is the best way to get a hold of your threads?

Tianna:  You can get a hold of my designs by visiting my website ,Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  for any inquires.

Urban Steez: Every Clothing line usually has a “motto” or a “saying” that represents their clothing line, what is yours?

Tianna: My saying is "Dope Within The Tribe", and it represents a lifestyle that you will only find within my accessory line.

Urban Steez: Any additional words you like to say to your supporters?

Tianna: Yes! I would love to thank B. Tilman, Fatima Licir, Ac-Styles, and a few others for always believing in me since day one when I 1st hoped on this Fashion Shit Majorly. Big shout out to GOD he's my #1 supporter, and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him.
