Holloway is an upcoming R&B singer/songwriter determined to exact a defining statement in the music industry to date. He values music in the highest fashion and has the drive necessary to deliver his voice not just to the city of Houston, Texas; but throughout the United States, more-so the world. Holloway began his journey into music at the age of 14, recording melodies from an old boom box he had in his house. It wouldn't take long for the youngster to realize that the developing lyrics as well as sound he had was unique, untapped, & summarily waiting to be discovered by eager ears. Letting one of his childhood friends listen to his first song, that's when Holloway decided that the music needed to be recorded.He would soon release a style that shook the foundations of his hometown. When it comes down to the melodic sound of Holloway, with his soulful yet straight forward vocals, he delivers a tasteful approach to the R&B genre. His method of music is only complemented by his innate concept to make sure that each verse & chorus tells a story while sending a message, creating an overtone of relation for whatever the listener might be going through in their everyday lives, or just to create an imaginative setting for the audience

Urban Steez: Tell everybody your name and what area you represent?

Hey everyone was up, this is singer/songwriter Holloway hailing from Houston, Texas and you are checking me out on URBANSTEEZ.com

Urban Steez: Lets get right into it! How did you come up with your music name?

Holloway: Holloway is actually my last name. I came up with others, but it seemed that this one actually made sense to my outlook on music. Meaning “empty road” or hollow way, I use music as a means to fill that “emptiness”.

Urban Steez: Nice, I likes! How long have you been doing music and what made you get into music?

Holloway: I come from a musical background so I pretty much been around it my entire life; it would only be a matter of time before the music bug would hit me. When I turned 14, that’s when I wrote my first song then about a year later is when I wrote to a slew of tracks and here I am now, 5 years later and still getting better.

Urban Steez: I see! How would you describe your style and why? And what do you feel you can bring to the table as an artist?

Holloway: My style? I would like to say R&B, urban, pop, soul, and alternative, depending what the feel of a record I’m trying to bring out. As an artist, I feel that my style is unique and has enough edge to pull in a diverse audience.

Urban Steez: I agree you have that universal sound. If you had to pick which label to be signed to what would it be and why?

Holloway: My top of the line choice in a label pick would have to be Def Jam records. Mostly because of the veteran or current artists that are already with the label happen to be some of my influences.

Urban Steez: Who would you want to collaborate with in the music industry and why?

Holloway: If I could choose it would have to be Ne-yo, just because his musical style and songs are truly in a league of their own.

Urban Steez: I can definitely see that… So how do you feel you rank against top music talents today? And why?

Holloway: I feel that there is always room for improvement in my work, however, I think I would be able to hold my own and eventually separate myself from the competition with experience and maturity.

Urban Steez: Fair enough! What are you working on now and when can fans expect to hear more from you?

Holloway: I am currently working on 3 mixtapes that I haven’t named, and my Ep. Called “Love & Lust”, as well as other song writes for other artists.

Urban Steez: Cool be sure to drop the finished project in our inbox, I cant wait to hear them joints.. Where do you see yourself a year from now?

Holloway: With the same drive I’m maintaining, hopefully sitting in the office of a record label company.

Urban Steez: That’s Wassup! Who and what are your influences?

Holloway: My influences are of course the late Michael Jackson, Prince, Ne-yo, and The-Dream to name a few, it’s a long list.

Urban Steez: MJ damn, will we ever see another?!?! What do you think of the hip hop/ music world right now?

Holloway: I think its experimenting. I feel that in some areas in specific genres, there are artists that are tarnishing the specific field they’re in. Then again, if it’s what the majority wants, the minorities’ ears will have to suffer.

Urban Steez: I see your logic. What music do you have playing in your sound system right now?

Holloway: I am really liking Keri Hilson’s debut album. Some Ryan Leslie, The-Dream, Drake, John Mayer.

Urban Steez: Who is your celebrity crush?

Holloway: Haha…no comment.
