At the current age of 19, Randell Obrain Jones aka Kydd, from the group you might know as IMPAC, is now a solo artist. He is also a striving C.E.O of his label , Southern Boy E.N.T. Around the age of 9 or 10 he began to pick up the craft of making words rhyme, and since then he has been faithful to his first love. Her name is Hip Hop. Kydd says, “you might know her” with a smirk coming from his face, but eyes covered by his new era fitted. After learning a lot from Above All Entertainment C.E.O and former label mate Gutta he looks at the Hip Hop Game in a different way. Kydd: My name is Kydd and im reppin Austin, Tx,  04 block, RabbGlenn, Goodrich, hoodrich..

Urbansteez.com: How long have you been pursuing a career in the music industry?

Kydd: I been doing this music since I was 9 years old, I'm 19 now!

Urbansteez.com:  What were you into before music?

Kydd: well I played b-ball and then I dropped that and me and my older brother joined a group called IMPAC (you can google and youtube that) and we got signed to a major label (I was like 15) and then got dropped and that's another story yah dig.  I'm not with the group anymore but shot out to them we still fam

Urbansteez.com: As an artist how would you describe your style and why?

Kydd: uuummmm I would have to say "experimental" but I really don't like tags because I try to add all elements of music into hip hop and the music I do.

Urbansteez.com: I feel that....If you had your pick which label to be signed to, which label would it be and why?

Kydd: Well I'm pretty cool with Gemstones so I wouldnt mind 1 and 15th..but other than that star trak, good music, etc.)

Urbansteez.com: Who in your future would you want to collaborate with and why?

Kydd: Well I would love to work with panic at the disco and lupe and really just anybody who makes good music

Kydd: well jay-z, nas , kanye, lupe, pharrell, my mother (she is killer with the singing), basically if you make good music(lets not front we know good music) you influence me to make better music.

Kydd:   I think its good but it could be better.  I'm not gone hate on anybody if you doin your thang much love to you.

Kydd: Buy something for my mother and prolly another car idk yet, I'm simple yah dig
