Unsigned Hype TCUUrban Steez: Tell everybody your name and what area you represent?

Goozy G, K.I.D, Airlines. We represent Chicago "Joe".

Urban Steez: How did you come up with your music name?

TCU: Well TCU stands for "The Come UP", and since we are upcoming trying to make a name for ourselves in this industry, the name just felt so right in our situation.

Urban Steez: I see…How long have you been doing music and what made you get into music?

TCU: As a group, we have been making music for four years, and what made us get into music was our influential family background. Music was a way for us to express ourselves in a positive way, and show our creative side.

Urban Steez: Definitely… How would you describe your style and why?

TCU: We would describe our style as alternative hip-hop, because individually we all have different styles, for instance Goozy G is influence with Reggae/African high-life and rock, he brings that energy to the group, While Airlines and K.I.D have more of a hip-hop/conscious rap with a little bit of R&B. The best part about us is that we can fit in all genres of music.

Urban Steez: Nice very diverse, you need that these days to display musical range. If you had to pick which label to be signed to what would it be and why?

TCU: We can't really pick one, all we can really say is whatever comes our way and has the best offer.

Urban Steez: Who would you want to collaborate with in the music industry and why?

TCU: Timberand or Polo The Don, because we feel that they enhance an artist ability

Urban Steez: Yea , they definitely put pride and quality into everything they put out.. You fuck with them guaranteed success…What are you working on now and when can fans expect to hear more from you?

TCU: We currently working on our next single that is going to be crazy, fans can expect to see a mixtape from us by the summer, maybe sooner.

Urban Steez: Fa sho!! Where do you see yourself a year from now?

TCU: Signed to a Major Label, being able to expand our fan base. Hopefully be in a position to be able to give back to our community.

Urban Steez: That’s Wassup!! So, who are your influences?

TCU: Bob Marley, 2face idibia, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-z, Young Jeezy, 2pac, Biggie, and Eminem.

Urban Steez: What do you think of the hip hop/ music world right now?

TCU: We think music in general is at a stand still point and needs rejuvenation.

Urban Steez: So,what do you think you bring to the music game as far as your music is concerned?

TCU: We bring a new era of greatness, a breath of fresh air. We try to be that group that isn't afraid to take risk with our music. We enjoy all types of music and you can hear it in our songs.

Urban Steez: I can dig that! What music do you have playing in your sound system right now?

TCU: We have to keep TCU in the sound system thats always a must, really impress with Drake right now, Got to have Jay Z, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Lupe Fiasco Chicago Best!, Coldplay, FallOut Boys, Young Jeezy, T.I, and Gucci Mane in there.

Urban Steez: Damn, everybody in the music game basically!! Who is your celebrity crush?

TCU: Got a big crush on Lauren London "NU NU" ever since watching the ATL movie, Kim Kardashian, and Alicia keys.

Urban Steez: I agree, but there is only 2 out of the 3 I consider “Wifey Material”, lol…How can business heads and fans contact you in the future (myspace, email, number, etc.)?

TCU: We try to have a presence all over the internet, but the easiest way to hear our music and get in contact is atwww.myspace.com/tcuwcu or fans can also see us on our youtube channel www.youtube.com/tcuent To email us This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
