Urban Steez: Tell everybody your name and what area you represent?

Tenette Smith Born and Raised in Chicago Illinois the west side area!

Urban Steez: How long have you been doing music and what made you get into music?

Tenette: I’ve been singing since I was 13 years old but I started taking it serious in my junior year of High school. Music kinda fell into my hands simply because I was more of the tom boy athletic girl, I played basketball all my life I even received a full scholarship to play college basketball for 2 years where I received my associates degree in General education! And at every game I would sing the national anthem and gain fans people would come up to me and ask if I had a CD out and I would just be shock so soon after I graduated I found a love for music!

Urban Steez: How would you describe your style and why? And what do you feel you can bring to the table as an artist?

Tenette: I describe my style as being very original I have I great tone, I really don’t sound like anyone. I think I can really bring real R&B back basically music that people can relate to and understand, I sing from my heart!

Urban Steez: That’s Wassup! What do you feel has been your greatest experience thus far as a music artist and why?

Tenette: Being able to sing in front of hundreds of people every chance I get and to have someone come up to me and say how much they love my music and how much I changed their life I wouldn’t trade that for the world!

Urban Steez: Nice. What do you feel is the biggest challenge you face being an artist?

Tenette: Just basically staying true to myself and projecting the right message to society! Not trying to just be a singer for fun but have substance behind what I do!

Urban Steez: I Iikes, substance is GOLDEN! Who would you want to collaborate with in the music industry and why?

Tenette: Timberland, Dark child, Will I Am, Neyo.

Urban Steez: I hear that! So how do you feel you rank against top music talents today? And why?

Tenette: I think I rank a 10 because I’ve been told there's nothing different between the artist that’s out right now and that I have the full package to compete on their level but I definitely think I have a very unique style that would blow them out of the water!

Urban Steez: I Agree you are very talented! What are you working on now and when can fans expect to hear more from you?

Tenette: Right now I'm working on a mixtape that’s going to be out of this world! This upcoming year you can hear brand new singles I have been working on as well!

Tenette: Just to become the best I can be take myself to the highest heights whether it’s in movies, fashion, or songwriting I would like to go as far as possible!

Tenette: Whitney Houston, Micheal Jackson, Quincy Jones, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Billy Idol, Tina Turner And most artist who pave the way for artist like me.

Urban Steez: What do you think of the R&B/ music world right now?

Tenette: Its has definitely change its more of a mixture of pop and R&B now but I definitely think the old R&B is coming back soon!

Urban Steez: YES, I cant wait, R&B was sooooo much better 10 years ago. What music do you have playing in your sound system right now?

Tenette: I been trying to open my ears to new artist like Katy Perry, Fe Fe Dobson, Rihanna, Lady Ga Ga, Drake. Nicki Minaj.

Urban Steez: Who is your celebrity crush?

Tenette: Um I really never had one I always considered myself as a celebrity soooo.....
