Essence’s premier single “Unorthodox” produced by Sid "Omen" Brown of StadiumRed Studios (known for his work on Drake’s latest album), featuring Maliqe, will drop in early January in preparation for her series of single releases. Essence, who writes all her music, says “this song is about the recent struggles that women have to face, especially when they are trying to pursue a career instead of the conforming traditional posture that society expects them to play.”
