• Microsoft Hohm is a new online application that enables consumers like you or I to better understand our energy use. The tool also makes recommendations that may help you save money; these days you know we all need it!

• Google PowerMeter will be rolled out later this year, something I'm VERY excited about!. It is an application that shows consumers their electricity consumption in a Google gadget. Read more about it below and keep on the look-out.

Once we are able to see our electricity in a detailed way it is going to be easy to cut back. Scaling back 10% of our normal use will make a huge difference.
