Hey everyone it's me again. After a few weeks of looking for a new/additional hustle with no luck :-/ I'm back with another entry. It's a COLD game! Since I am currently exploring avenues to find additional work in the “Green” industry I will give those who are interested a few pointers and insight as well.  

Many of you may not know there is a Green Jobs movement currently in place. There is a lot of opportunity for job training and job placement out there. With the economy in a downward spiral this is a perfect opportunity for us, urban young people to gain some knowledge and training in the Green Industry.  You may think working in the Green industry is just for highly educated suburban yuppies, but this is far from the truth. Believe it! This industry is for everyone urban, suburban, hyphy, lame... you name it!

Many cities around the country have plans for a Green job corps/program you just have to be on the look out. Oakland, a city in which I Love and work in, has recently developed a Green jobs Corps. The program is super dope and is partnered by Laney College, Cypress Mandela Construction Training Program, and an organization which connects government, community and employers. The goals of the program are simple: Prepare and encourage low-income/underrepresented youth and to have green-collar careers, make the environment cleaner by supplying a workforce that will help to become Oakland cleaner and more green, Support green business,  and advance Oakland's Green economic leadership. There may be a program just like this one in your city.
