Akeara Williams B.K.A Keara, is a talented graphic designer. Usually to be a great graphic designer it takes originality and a extreme gift in creativity an this girl got all that and then some. Urban Steez recognizes art as another way to express yourself, such as music, poetry , and all that jazz all representing urban culture. Her style of art is what I like to call, "graphic graffiti" but in a Picasso sort of way. I took the time to interview her as well as set up a gallery of her work. INTERVIEW WITH KEARA

Urbansteez: So tell everybody your name ?

Keara:Akeara (keara) Williams

Urbansteez: how long have you been doing art?

Keara: I've been designing 11 1/2 months

akeara williams graphic designer Urbansteez: What do you plan to do with you skills, or what are you doing with them this far?

Keara:. I've always wanted to work with clothing designers and art companies, so I want to have collaborations with other aspiring designers and artist like myself. I also want to use my talent for good, you know like doing graphic work for non profit organizations.

Urbansteez: Do you think graphic design is sometimes overlooked and why?

Keara: As far as a whole i don't think that it is. We're the technology age. 1 out of every 5 people now have a myspace page, and everyone is looking for that unique style to separate them from the next profile, whether they are a musician or an actor, they all need a designer. But, individually, I have been over-looked and stereo-typed. "Oh she can't design, she's too young" "she couldn't have designed this, no not her" lol it's funny to me so i laugh it off

Urbansteez: HATERS..they are everywhere but anyway's lets continue. What makes you different from most artist?

Keara: I would have to say the way that i process my designs. I could be out and about and see something that inspires me and quickly want to use that in next piece. I'm not afraid to try it and fail because believe me, it never comes out right the first time.

Urbansteez: Did you go through any schooling for your craft or was it self taught?

Keara: No schooling. It was all trial and error. I have frustration to thank for that. When i first started i was so irritated that the program was not doing what i wanted to do, but i kept at it. I didn't want to feel defeated by adobe lol.

Urbansteez: What would you say standout most about your work?

Keara: COLOR! I'm not a "TEN SHADES OF GRAY" kinda girl. I also try to mix fantasy and psychedelic with urban.

Urbansteez: .Any shot outs ?

Keara: B. warren-nate boogie-tara-and darnell for getting me started

you cant hang sneakers from her cause she doing her thang..haha keara u raw sweetheart...you got ya face out there and never stopped...on the real keep doing ya thang baby..you kno i been peeping ya work from way back and it just kept getting bettter and better..so keep flying sweetheart..much luv 2 ya.
