TRUTH
Give me truth to live and walk by
Let it be my guiding star
On truth only will I rely
If it's near or if it's far.
Truth may sometimes be mistreated
Error conquer for one play
But truth cannot be defeated
It will live another day.
Truth is what we need for living
It alone is our safe guide
Nothing different is worth giving
So all else let's set aside.
Let us seek for truth whatever
We have set our minds to do
Other ways however clever
Never can deliver you.
If for me or for another
Or the laws of our home land
Let us strive for truth
My brothers and sisters
Every time we a stand.
Yes, truth is always beautiful
Though it may not for our plan
And to tell it is suitable
More than it makes a man
If religious or judicial
Or whatever on our mind
Let it ever be official
It is truth we wish to find.
