Born April 4th, Fynese was born and raised in Harlem
World, USA. Owning a love and passion for the sound of music at a early
age, he started off beating on pots and pans with spoons and forks
until his parents got tired of the silverware and pots being all over
the house and bought him a drum set. Growing up the youngest of three,
Fynese has always been known for his musical abilities. Inspired by his
son’s ambitions to compose music, Fynese’s father
decided to build him a recording studio where he taught himself how to
compose and produce music using a MPC 2000xl, a Yamaha qy100 and Samson
c11 microphone and recording on sonar cakewalk. With influences ranging
from the likes of Ted Reilly, Quincy Jones, Timberland, Dr. Dre &
Diddy, it was clear he had an ear for quality music. At age 13, while
attending Lincoln Academy (now Horizons Middle School), Fynese met
Harlem, but being that Fynese was so music driven he was a tad
anti-social. All he could focus on was his love of music. As time went
by Fynese would practice his R&B vocal and production abilities. At
16, while attending Humanities High School (now Bayard Rustin), Fynese
formed the R&B group Just Trust, consisting of 3 artist total.
Gaining local recognition w/ their single "Dance With Me", the group performed at a series of local talent
shows, the Apollo Summer Stage, and on local TV networks and radio
shows. However, due to differences within the group, they split up and
went there separate ways. After the break up, Fynese went in his search
for his true calling, but found himself getting side tracked in the
harsh, urban environment that is Harlem, NYC. But with that environment
came being affiliated with the "Ruff Ryders" and shortly after the
infamous street gang known as the "Bloods". In 2004, while evolved in a
gang fight a block away from his High School, Fynese was stabbed in the
back twice by a rival gang member. While hospitalized in St.
Vincent’s, Fynese thought about where his life was headed and
decided to put all of his focus back into music. Walking away from the
street life not only affected his friendships, but changed his entire
personal outlook on life. After working with R&B singer Unique, he
was introduced to his manager Make from Relentless Management. After
hearing the work Fynese had done w/ Unique, Make was convinced that
Fynese was something special and introduced him to music producer Reefa
(aka Mr. "One Blood"). Taking Fynese under his
wing, Reefa showed him the rules and ropes of the music industry. Like
a sponge, Fynese soaked in all the information building his library of
sound by producing hip-hop, R&B, rock & roll & pop. In
early 2007, with other offers on the table, Fynese took his dreams and
ambitions of starting his own record label and formed Trac-Child
Records. Months later he created the team Tracchildstarz. A group of
indivuals who use fashion and music to imbrace the new generation
birthing a new generation of trendsetters he called "The Trac-Child
Starz". Ron, Tasleema, Bri, Franch, V-Dae, Ed and Fresh were amongst
the first to be recruited to the team. With his laid back personality,
good looks and charm Fynese’s sets himself apart from the
crowd on all levels. His style and image is indeed different, but also
creative and fashionable w/ fitted designer jeans to shorts with long
bright colored socks to vintage skate board style, Fynese quickly
catches the eye everywhere he goes. As he explains..
When you see me, you see a star! Yessir, music is
my get away. When I make music, it flows through me like the air I
breathe. When I produce and write its music from the heart through my
struggle & pain. I’m not your "Average Joe" These cloths
don’t make me and my skin color doesn’t define me.
Yea I rap, but I’m no rapper i got swagga. I follow what my
heart says, whether it be rock & roll, pop, r&b or hip-hop. I
am a "Human Orchestra".

Urbansteez.com Interview with Fynese
Urbansteez.com: Tell
us your name, and what area do you represent?
Fynese: Fynese, I represent New York
I was born raised in Harlem
Urbansteez.com: How
long have you been pursuing a career in the music industry?
Fynese: I have
been pursuing a career in music since age 11
Urbansteez.com: What
were you into before music?
Fynese: Before
music, music was always there it was never something I just decide to follow up
on.. my father Tyrone was a Dj and he would always bring me and my sister and
brother with him to his events and parties.. I was young dancing on top
of the speakers I loved music since I can talk when I was eating chicken and
dancing.. fried chicken and dancing. Young kid banging on walls doors pots
plates forks.. my mother would say "let him bang he's developing his
gifts. Lol Music was always my get away played a major roll in who I am
today.
Urbansteez.com: Fried Chicken and dancing!!!! You cant go wrong with that lol.... As
an artist how would you describe your style and why?
Fynese: My style
I would describe is left field. Like my swag the cloths I wear I'm a
trendsetter so when u see me.. your like "yo look what that dude got on,
its weird but its fly" so when u hear the music it's new and innovating. Not something you would hear
thats why I love music.. one thing for sure you don't really know what to
expect from me as artist yes I rap.. yes I sing but I don't call myself a
rapper or a singer I am a human orchestra.. might hear me on a rock and roll
song or pop.. u just don't know what to expect from me.. that's Tracchild for
you!
Urbansteez.com: Thats wassup! If
you had your pick which label to be signed to, which label would it be and why?
Fynese: If I can
sign to a label.. I think it would be def jam or universal.. why well I know
that def jam promotes there artist and they are a major distribution company..
I know my style is different so I look at the recorded companies that I know I
can bring something new too then I look at the company and make sure that no
one else on the label is doing what I do.. like you cant have two chris browns
on a label because your competing with someone on yah label and less money you
will get!.. star trak I like but I don't know.. ppl might call me lil pharrel
which is not a bad thing.. I just want to be known for creating my music and
style because ppl always compare me to pharrel.. now tho I can say def jam or
universal.. it depends if the paper work is right and the money!
Urbansteez.com: Who in your future would you want to collaborate with and
why?
Fynese:I would love to collaborate with Beyonce I love her style
her voice shes a dope artist.. Chris brown his fire his style he's young we are
like the young boses.. Jay-Z I gotta have a song with him he's a legend just
like Nas, weezy F baby he a animal on the mic, Kelis me and her came from the
same church just like jim jones gotta take it back to harlem.. I mean theres so
many I can go on if the vibe is right then I would love to collab with as many
artist as I can.
Urbansteez.com: I know for sure as an artist/ producer, if you collab with any of them artist its a wrap, your career will be sky high!! What
are you working on now, and when can we expect to hear more of you?
Fynese: TRAC-CHILD
STARZ that's the base.. that's the foundation of the whole movement.. basically
tracchild I created about 2 years ago. We are a young group oh individuals we
use all music and fashion to embrace the young generation.. so in other words
we are the trend setters in music and fashion.. that's why I say it here first
aint nobody in the world... and Urbansteez.com yawl hear it now lol aint nobody!!
Got a record player on their back!! Trendsetting.. but yes check out my team www.myspace.com/officialtracchildstarz
everybody has a unique talent that is what makes this team so incrible.. but
moving on.. I'm playing shooting a video for my single "digital gurl"
I just signed a new management contract with Greg ladamoore who also manages my
homis Teyana Taylor.. I'm working on a tour for child obesity.. Tracchild is
working on a big brother program where we take young kids and take them out
work with them on projects fine tuning there skills giving back to the community..
you can look out for a clothing line.. I cant say the name.. also I got the
hottest bike crew 3oo deep riding bmx bikes.. I have these insane bikes the
world has every seen because Fynese is a trendsetter lol new music I'm also a
producer so right now I'm working on the clipse shout to star trak! Also soon
I'm looking to be signed and taken over giving the world real music and bring New
York back because there aint a lot of New
York artist doing it big so that's my mission!
Urbansteez.com: That's some good stuff right there!! Who
are your influences?
Fynese: My pops
influence me first being a Dj and a producer and being around the music I feel
in love with it at a young age.. Timberland, ted, pharrell, Quincy,
p-diddy, micheal jackson, the
temptations, boys2men, 112, those ppl were some influences.
Urbansteez.com: What
do you think of the hip hop / music world right now?
Fynese: Right now
I feel that hip hop is trapped in 1997 when BIG died R.I.P. like the things we
talk about its like a big loop girls, hoes, money, drugs, I'm tuffer then you.
BIG and Pac was the last... I feel that left a market and I feel that most artist
look up to them as a format and they forget to be creative.. I mean to me some
of the things I hear sounds the same.. now that doesn't mean that what u hear
is not music.. whats on the radio is poping its hot.. but I think there is more
that can be talked about in the hip hop music.. I think that hip hop has to
grow more and expand. Hip hop will never be dead.. music is a feeling a
expression and as long as ppl got a heart and emotions music and hip hop will
never be dead.. but yes I do think that hip hop is like a big circle and it
like a loop its stuck in 1997 and let me say it's the record companies fault
and DJ'S and radios.. before music was decide by the dj's who said what was
hot.. now the Dj's sold out.. the big record company own the dj's and radio stations..
and rappers are forced in the format of things.. to talk about the same stuff
because that is what sales, because that's what the radio station and t'v stations
programmed the world to expect from hip hop a format..
Urbansteez.com: Very True, well said!! Where
do you see yourself a year from now?
Fynese: A year
from now I see myself signed working on a album.. production placements with
some artist chilling with Tracchild starz my team in Miami..
setting back with my sis saying "I told you so"
Urbansteez.com: What
will you do with your first royalty check?
Fynese: First
royalty check.. I got to take my sister shopping take my family out they
supported me.. my team will have to go out and do something special.. get my
self stable.. spend some cause you know yah boy has to stay fly and quote
this.. "I AM THE FLYIST MAN ALIVE" my cloths should pay me to wear
them! LoL but yea mann the first check celebrate a little, but use some of that
money to get more money I gotta flip that!
Urbansteez.com: When
you make it big, what car will you first purchase?
Fynese: I love
bmw's and I love the range rover.. I think I will have to get the White range
rover.
Urbansteez.com: What's
in your sound system right now?
Fynese: What in
my sound system? Tracchild is in the sound system.. im in the cd player.. I
really do listen to my music a lot.. sometimes my flick the radio on and see
what's hot, what's new.. but I try to stay on "Trac" and listen to my
own music keeps the creative juices flowing lol
Urbansteez.com:
