Up and coming Hip prospect by the name of Meezy hailing from a small city called Martins Ferry, Ohio plans to bless hip hop by spreading his word! Meezy started flirtin w/ Hip Hop as a youngster while in school and it eventually grew into a deep passion! Meezy credits his earliest real artist influence to the late Tupac Shakur. It was music like that, which 1st inspired Meezy to stand up for his beliefs, and express his voice! Understanding he got a story jus' like the rest of the Universe and it's my time to step up and tell it to the world!" Meezy is here today to tell a story that has been in the makin for 27 years...and God willing, in the notebooks for the next 27 if he has any say so bout it! Knowing, we all got pain, we all got issues...Meezy is jus tryna make sure, his issues and pain wasn't for nothing, and prides himself in getting  a chance to tell his story and make the people that matter proud, whether here on earth or not!"

  After coming up from age 6 and beyond, with the murder/death of his mother in the projects where he still feels a deep part of, then the loss of his father to the prison system less than 3 months later after he committed a double homicide and another attempted homicide,  Meezy was forced  to find an alternative to expressing his hurt and stress that he was overwhelmed with!  That was where poetry and Hip Hop came into play for him. "I finally released my first anger issues and problems through a pen n' pad! Not only was I good at it cause I was a good poetry prospect as a kid, but I was also learning and realizing the growth in which makes me the man I am today!"

 As of right now, besides making multiple appearances on other artists tracks and working on his own website (www.MeezyMusic.com) on his spare time, Meezy is also working on his upcoming debut album titled "The Birth of A Legitamate Hustler", which is due out by July, and also working on a project for Dead Prez which is due out by August! He's featured on many other music sites which include, but not limited to, Hardcorejamz.com where he was placed as #2 on the charts after less than a week, Indie Charts for almost 3 weeks, and for the past 3 weeks, he's been holding down the #1 and #2 spot on RapHead Charts with his 2 new singles "Take It" , which features a comedy skit by the hilarious comedian I.S.H.O.O.S. and produced by Uncle Junebug, and "Since Then..." ft. vocals by H.U.G. and produced by Major League! Also, on April 1st, Meezy was featured on Ciphernews.com radio/magazine where people could vote for his song "Take It" and give him a chance to win an award @ the 1st Annual Up North and MidWest Hip Hop awards. Meezy ended up winning by a landslide! Afterwards he was asked to come back for the following issue for an interview and to get radio spin and feedback on his "Since Then" track. Since the interview, he has been informed that he's up for 2 awards for both his songs, including Most Introspective Song of the Year and Sexiest Song of the Year! Urbansteez.com: Tell us your name, and what area do you represent?

Meezy: My name is Meezy The Truth, a.k.a. M dot Eezy representin' Ohio... Martins Ferry is where I come from.

Urbansteez.com: How long have you been pursuing a career in the music industry?

Meezy: I've been into music since a little kid but I've only been actually pursuing this dream for like three to five years.

Urbansteez.com: What were you into before music?

Meezy: I was mainly into sports, chillin' wit' my babygirl, and I took up a few semesters of college.

Urbansteez.com: As an artist how would you describe your style and why?

Meezy: I really wouldn't say I'm limited to any 1 particular kinda style...my style changes like the weather! I'm like a kid thats ambidextrous, I can go from writin' some deep poetical rhymes, to a whole different kinda flow spit'n some gutter type lyrics, then change it up again and kick sumthin' sexy for the ladies! 

Urbansteez.com: Okay, okay...If you had your pick which label to be signed to, which label would it be and why?

Meezy: Obliviously a label that would be willing to pay me a sufficient amount of money, but just as important grant me freedom in making my music how I want it to be.

Urbansteez.com: Who in your future would you want to collaborate with and why?

Meezy: It would be great to do a track wit' the late Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., and Pimp C without a doubt..Legends for sure! But right now I'd have to say Hip Hop greats like Jay-Z, Nas, Beanie Sigel, Jadakiss, Styles P, Twista, Eminem, Ludacris, Kanye West, Method Man, Scarface, Bun B, EightBall & MJG, and Lil' Wayne to name a few. And of course the Soul and R&B greats such as Stevie Wonder, The Isley Brothers, Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, Donell Jones, R.Kelly, Ne-Yo, Jagged Edge, Justin Timberlake, Omarion, and Chris Brown...also just to name a few off top of my head.

Urbansteez.com: Pretty much everybody in the game...What are you working on now, and when can we expect to hear more of you?

Meezy: I'm currently working on my solo ablum titled "The Birth of a Legitimate Hustler" due out by this Summer, as well as a mixtape project for Dead Prez due out August, and a few guest appearances on many other artists tracks. Urbansteez.com: Who are your influences?

Meezy: I would have to say my influences are the lates Anna Watts (my grandma), Glenda Watts/Heath (my mom), Tupac Shakur, and of course my beautiful daughters who are still her with me!

Urbansteez.com: What do you think of the hip hop / music world right now?

Meezy: I honestly feel alot of these rappers out here now need to stop limiting their tracks to nothing but songs about money, clothes, cars, girls, jewels, and all the other material things in this world! They need to open up their minds and learn to talk about the real things that matter in this world atleast some of the time, feel me!

Urbansteez.com: Real talk...Where do you see yourself a year from now?

Meezy: More mature and making smarter moves in the game. If I'm still not signed, I'm gonna atleast be able to say I'm doing sumthin bigger and better than this year!

Urbansteez.com: What will you do with your first royalty check?

Meezy: I would love to get a nice big house for me and my daughters and a special someone, if with anyone at the time, far away from here and concentrate on nothing but my music and life with them! 

Urbansteez.com: When you make it big, what car will you first purchase?

Meezy: I can't give you a for sure answer on that, but I can say since a kid I've always wanted an Aston Martin DB7 Coupe.

Urbansteez.com: What's in your sound system right now?

Meezy: If u were to check my track list right now, you would find 5 cd's only! Myself, Tupac- All Eyez On Me, a Jadakiss and Styles P mixtape, Kanye West- Graduation, and some hot instrumental cd made by my lil' brother Major League!

Urbansteez.com: which female in the game would you pursue first and why?

Meezy: I wouldn't say that I'd necessarily even try to pursue someone already in the game, I'd much rather be with someone I've already been in love with for some time and start life over as best as we can.
