The St. Louis-born,Kansas City-bred 20-something,born January 20,used to feel like that one dude an awful lot when he said "Wait till I get my money right...". As of late,he's been working on thinking & living above such things. January Blaq* is a very sincere, experimental Rap artist & songwriter from the Midwest, with somewhat of a divine plan. His irritation with life(what most would call 'struggle'),particularly adulthood,is his artistry's main source of fuel(He's been fired pretty much from every job he's had, including the military). It'd be pretty hard for one to say that he isn't of what he speaks.

His name symbolizes the desire to be better than before,as in a resolution. That being said,he tries hard to live up to his title, constantly reflecting to better himself as a man,& in turn, as an artist.  The first time he ever tapped into his Rap ability was in the 6th or 7th grade, but it was only one song(& probably not even a full verse, since he didn't know much about song structure). He never thought it'd be something he'd ever pursue;Funny enough,he was more into videogames & pro-wrestling! Now as a mostly self-taught indy artist(since age 19),he's out to craft his sound to be undeniable,by pushing his 90's R&B-flavored,heartfelt Hip-Hop to experimental limits, along with his indy team,Sunset Dreamz Media. With many plans for the future,he knows that the only thing stopping him is himself. Blending what he's learned from his failures & misuse of blessings in life, along with his naturally high mind & a little hard work,he'll definitely shine bright in the near or distant future.

Unsigned Hype Fynese

Born April 4th, Fynese was born and raised in Harlem World, USA. Owning a love and passion for the sound of music at a early age, he started off beating on pots and pans with spoons and forks until his parents got tired of the silverware and pots being all over the house and bought him a drum set. Growing up the youngest of three, Fynese has always been known for his musical abilities. Inspired by his son’s ambitions to compose music, Fynese’s father decided to build him a recording studio where he taught himself how to compose and produce music using a MPC 2000xl, a Yamaha qy100 and Samson c11 microphone and recording on sonar cakewalk. With influences ranging from the likes of Ted Reilly, Quincy Jones, Timberland, Dr. Dre & Diddy, it was clear he had an ear for quality music. At age 13, while attending Lincoln Academy (now Horizons Middle School), Fynese met Harlem, but being that Fynese was so music driven he was a tad anti-social. All he could focus on was his love of music. As time went by Fynese would practice his R&B vocal and production abilities. At 16, while attending Humanities High School (now Bayard Rustin), Fynese formed the R&B group Just Trust, consisting of 3 artist total. Gaining local recognition w/ their single "Dance With Me",  the group performed at a series of local talent shows, the Apollo Summer Stage, and on local TV networks and radio shows. However, due to differences within the group, they split up and went there separate ways. After the break up, Fynese went in his search for his true calling, but found himself getting side tracked in the harsh, urban environment that is Harlem, NYC. But with that environment came being affiliated with the "Ruff Ryders" and shortly after the infamous street gang known as the "Bloods". In 2004, while evolved in a gang fight a block away from his High School, Fynese was stabbed in the back twice by a rival gang member. While hospitalized in St. Vincent’s, Fynese thought about where his life was headed and decided to put all of his focus back into music. Walking away from the street life not only affected his friendships, but changed his entire personal outlook on life. After working with R&B singer Unique, he was introduced to his manager Make from Relentless Management. After hearing the work Fynese had done w/ Unique, Make was convinced that Fynese was something special and introduced him to music producer Reefa (aka Mr. "One Blood").  Taking Fynese under his wing, Reefa showed him the rules and ropes of the music industry. Like a sponge, Fynese soaked in all the information building his library of sound by producing hip-hop, R&B, rock & roll & pop. In early 2007, with other offers on the table, Fynese took his dreams and ambitions of starting his own record label and formed Trac-Child Records. Months later he created the team Tracchildstarz. A group of indivuals who use fashion and music to imbrace the new generation birthing a new generation of trendsetters he called "The Trac-Child Starz". Ron, Tasleema, Bri, Franch, V-Dae, Ed and Fresh were amongst the first to be recruited to the team. With his laid back personality, good looks and charm Fynese’s sets himself apart from the crowd on all levels. His style and image is indeed different, but also creative and fashionable w/ fitted designer jeans to shorts with long bright colored socks to vintage skate board style, Fynese quickly catches the eye everywhere he goes. As he explains.. When you see me, you see a star! Yessir, music is my get away. When I make music, it flows through me like the air I breathe. When I produce and write its music from the heart through my struggle & pain. I’m not your "Average Joe" These cloths don’t make me and my skin color doesn’t define me. Yea I rap, but I’m no rapper i got swagga. I follow what my heart says, whether it be rock & roll, pop, r&b or hip-hop. I am a "Human Orchestra".

Aaron Jones was born on July 12th, 1991 in Los Angeles, California, but he's better known by his stage name of Killah Matriks. He has something that alot of artist don't have, he has the ability to connect with audiences of all backgrounds. He has some fans that have told him before listening to him that they thought all hip-hop/rap was the same. He credits Lupe Fiasco, Skyzoo, and Jay-Z for being his main inspirations. They all have taught him different things. Lupe Fiasco taught him that just because he was nerd it didn't mean that he couldn't be cool. Skyzoo taught him that just because you are mainstream doesn't mean you have to dumb your music down and Jay-Z taught him how to take his lyrics to another level. He has took all that inspiration and ran with it. He has continued to shine on whatever song he was on. Because his style is so diverse he doesn't just have to stick with-in one genre. He can go from punchline crazy to wordplay like some of the greats in the industry. Also he has alot of people DatPiff's community forum and on myspace that are waiting on the drop of his mixtape Killah TeckNiQs. As of right now Killah Matriks is completing Killah TeckNiQs while working on the next mixtape which will be the first installment in the Bar Spitta Jones series."

At the millennium's end Hip-Hop seemed to be spiraling out of control with a market over-saturated with disposable music and artists, creating a generation of listeners who've almost forgotten what true Hip-Hop sounds like. Enter Yung Texxu$, a native of Killeen, TX. Known for his versatility and keen lyricism,"Texx" reminds listeners of what Hip-Hop's early Greats first sounded like.

Texx follows a solid line of creative artists like OutKast, Snoop Dogg, U.G.K., and N.W.A. Having been compared to Jay- Z by "The Source Magazine" you can see why he's been deemed "The Savior of The Dirty". Having worked with the likes of Scarface to Kelly Rowland, Yung Texxu$ can spit over tracks with wide appeal for audiences ranging from undergound to mainstream music. For these reasons alone he is sure to be a major player in Hip-Hop for years to come.

Darrell De'Angelo Contee a.k.a Yung Texxu$, was raised in the small city of Killeen, TX. He was introduced to music at an early age by his mother Kim Contee an aspiring artist herself. His father, Darrell Hovington spent the early part of Texx's life serving a 10- year prison sentence, so the future MC was 11-years old when they first met. With his roots buried deep in the streets and music it wouldn't be long before Yung Texxu$ followed in both of his parents' footsteps. In middle school Texx became good friends with Michael Jordan, Mike Hisatake', J.R. Scott, Scotty Lee and Spade, who would later form Killeen's Famed "Green City". Spark Dawg later joined the group after returning from Atlanta. With a troubled past behind him including probation for breaking and entering by age 12, gang affiliation, and a failing interest in school, Texx made a decision that would change his life forever.

With his father being released from prison and in effort to be re-united with him and finish high school, Texx left Killeen. He moved to Dover, DE in 2001 leaving behind his mother, 2 sisters, and 1 brother. During his stay in the first state Texx met J.Lex (John Cannon) and Sluggz ( John Graham-Ramsaroop). They formed the group "Hustle Hard". A year later, Texx be-friended a young Nishon Morris a.k.a N.I.S.H, and Larry Harvey a.k.a. M.O.N.E.Y, of the group "Ill Villinz". Together, Hustle Hard and Ill Villinz released a string of underground mixtapes (Back To Ya Block, Operation Lock Down, D Boyz, Sin City) and in 2002 they decided to consolidate Hustle Hard and Ill Villinz into a single entity. One super-group, one movement thus, State City Music was born. In 2004 Yung Texxu$ was discovered by producer Rayza of Clubbalangg. Rayza had heard Texx's Mixtape "Classic G Musick", and immediately flew him out to ATL signing him on the spot. In 2005, Texx gained national exposure in "The Source Magazine" and went on to drop a slew of underground smashes such as "Drank in My Cup", "I Gits the Money" ft. Big Hood Boss, Tum Tum (DSR/Universal) and "Still in Love with my Ex (Remix)" with Kelly Rowland. His work with D.J. Scream on "Believe the Hype" placed him at the forefront of underground Southern Hip-Hop. Since 2005 you may have seen Yung Texxu$ pop up in magazines, Hip-Hop DVD's, or websites, but for now the rest of his tale has yet to be written. At many times Texx finds himself walking the thin line between the streets and music. Enveloped by the underworld he can't leave and trapped by his obsession to ascend to the heights of Hip-Hop royalty, Texx is currently working on his debut album "The Underground Prince", scheduled for release in 2007. Only time will tell how his saga will end...

Diva is an 18 tune set from this dynamic spitzstress with her own "lyrical word play" that is sure to rekindle the flickering flame for female hip hop artist!

Growing up and listening to artist like E40, 3 Times Crazy, Mac Dre and the Luniz mixed in with some of her parent's favorites like Heavy D. Prince, TLC and Queen Latifah has definitely given Keldamuzik a strong platform to launch from.

Drawing from "life's experiences and the work of other writers" has helped Keldamuzik shape tracks like Mr. Right, Give You a Key, or the title track, and "girl power" anthem, Diva. The Diva album is set to explode with other hot joints like Bay Swag featuring Dem Hoodstarz and Excuse Me featuring Numskull of the Luniz

While know doubt Keldamuzik is a superb micsmith it's her writing that she's been honing since her childhood days of writing fairytale stories, that's the real genesis here. As the Oakland Ca. based Keldamuzik says about Diva "its music for all ages".

In 2005 Keldamuzik founded Golddigga Entertainment to release not just her own album but operates as a vehicle to release other artist already signed to the company.

It also acts as the production company for her hugely popular Diva T.V. hip hop reality show which gives the entrepreneurial spirited actress, model and hip hop artist yet another opportunity to get closer to her ever growing fan base, her fans get closer to her and gives more exposure to her debut album Diva.

Clinton Davis Jr., Born and raised in Austin Texas (2-1)I spent the first seven years of my early childhood in Queens New York in Bland Projects. My father moved me back to Texas around eight years old and from then on I made occasional summer visits. I didnt see my father much growing up. working long nights as a Port Authority officer at the World Trade Center kept him away. On his days off I spent time with him doing what he loved most, making music. For years he worked hard for the family, so he wasn't able to pursue music like he wished. The fact that he couldn't, inspired me to fulfill out that goal since the age of 12. From then on I watched my father closely. I learned how to work equipment and started writing songs and poetry just like him.I told my father my plan was to pursue music as a career, and go to college to learn more about business that I didnt learn from reading. Originally my plan was this: once I graduated from college, he would be near retirement and we could start a music company together. Things were going according to plan until after my graduation in May 2001...September 11, 2001 my father tended to saving lives while at work due to terrorist attacks, suddenly my life changed. After days of searching for survivors in the 9-11-01 attack my father was announced deceased in one of the towers while escorting civilians. The pain and rage I felt at that moment was beyond belief of an explanation. So at that point i was like "what now?" I was nearly going to give up on all my dreams and goals, and forget about what my father worked so hard for. I had to become something in life and provide for my family in the future the same way he did for me. Standing around depressed wasn't going to help me succeed at all. With the support and encouragement of my mother I continued with the plan I set.2002 I started my own label, signed my artists, got a production team together, constructed a well-designed studio and a staff, and enrolled into Texas State University. My plan to continue the "dream" then began. The loss of my father is my determination to show this nation I have what it takes to make this label one of the best constructed in history. My label consists of artists with versatility, creativity, and a work ethic like no other. Im carrying out a promise and fulfilling a dream. Already releasing a major album in 2006 with IMPAC'S - ALMOST FAMOUS, 2008 major labels will realize I mean business and failure is not an option. I call myself Checkmate because to me this career is just like chess. It takes timing and strategy to take over the board then the game is yours. 2008 Above All Entertainment "The New Era of the South" - Checkmate

Music is life. Music is love. Music is you. Music is me. Music is us. To make people truly understand music is difficult because they don't realize the role that music plays in their everyday lives. You hear it on the radio, in elevators, on television, in hospitals, in schools, at funerals, everywhere. It is the most powerful form of communication. People literally can't get enough of it. This is why Kumi Hues is necessary. Kumi Hues is music. Kumi Hues is life. Kumi Hues is love.

But who is Kumi Hues? Perhaps where is Kumi Hues is a better question. Starting their intergalactic journey in the small town of Tallahassee, Florida, iLL-FLaVa and M.E.R.C. found that they have a chemistry that will catapult them into your living rooms. Their sound is vintage yet new, hard yet smooth, and bitter yet sweet. They seem to explore the universe of sound, conquering the cosmos in their dream machine fueled by inspiration. Their unique delivery of chords and phrases captures time and space. Kumi Hues is the future and they are in a world of their own.

iLL-FLaVa, aka Brandon Crumbly, was born in the city of Toledo, Ohio, the home of such musicians as Art Tatum and R & B crooner Lyfe Jennings. iLL's fascination with the sound came at an early age. But it wasn't until moving to Atlanta, Georgia that this son of a high school theory teacher found passion in bringing imagination to his music. If you could see into his mind you would see a world decorated with an array of vibrant colors and you would hear a futuristic, bass heavy beat pulsating throughout his thoughts. Drawing inspiration from hip-hop, jazz, new wave, and genres, iLL-FLaVa is ready to leave his mark on the music industry; and re-introduce creativity to a genre fixated on catchy tunes.

After high school, iLL-FLaVa moved to the sunny city of Tallahassee, FL where he met M.E.R.C. The two became immediate friends, and had a powerful musical chemistry they couldn't ignore. The two soon formed Kumi Hues, where iLL-FLaVa capitalizes on his beat-making prowess to help deliver the group's debut album, "The Take Off 747-365." Armed with skillfully creative drum patterns and an infectious style of chord changes, iLL-FLaVa proves to be a musical reckoning force.

M.E.R.C. aka Jason Hall was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, a city that produced other musical talents such as T-Pain and Sticman of Dead Prez. He remembers always wanting to be creative and free spirited. "Music was always something that I loved. I remember riding in the car with my pops trying to guess the instruments on his jazz tapes. I didn't really listen to hip-hop that much because my parents didn't. It wasn't until about the eighth grade when I started to get into it. Even then I still would rather hear Satchmo on a 45" than anything on the top ten," states M.E.R.C. Growing up in the south even in the 80's and 90's  still had its affect on Black Americans and M.E.R.C. expresses those struggles frequently in his music. He is often compared to Common or Mos Def but with southern hospitality. He seems to somewhat squeeze his political view in between his metaphors to make sure that nothing is overstated. His words dance romantically with bass lines and his laid-back persona clashes with his revolutionary ideology.

Not since Gnarls Barkley has colorful imagery, alluring lyricism and storytelling been fused so perfectly. M.E.R.C. lives up to his name and slaughters hip hop standards with his insightful and honest lyrics, while iLL-FLaVa keeps listeners amazed with his range and creativity as a producer.
