Substance. Consciousness. Lyrical Prowess. These are all elements that
seem to be severely lacking in the current state of Hip Hop. Hip Hop
as we know it is changing and among those on the frontlines making the
change is Oakland Emcee Five Eighty. Black Dream Entertainment's
premier artist, Five Eighty, is a torchbearer and bridge into the next
era of Hip Hop. This Oakland native takes his inspiration from a
diverse catalog of artists who have made a mark in musical history.
They range from the legendary Billie Holiday- which is exhibited in
his soulful choice of production- to Hip Hop Legends Tupac Shakur,
Common, and Nas. Five Eighty combines a distinct feeling of
spirituality with an edgy street delivery which is sure to please
critics and fans alike.
Amir 'Five Eighty' Abdul-Shakur is a well skilled battle Emcee. Five
Eighty perfected his skills through his well-earned rankings in
ciphers and freestyle competitions in Oakland and Southern California.
Emceeing has become a rare art form. However, Five Eighty is among the
few remaining. His street 'n spirituality edge is a direct reflection
of his tribulations in life and upbringing. Tragedy would strike in
1997 when his mother succumbed to AIDS. This life-changing ordeal
expanded his artistic arsenal, led him to pursue music full time and
more importantly led him to Islam. Five Eighty says, "You have to have
a certain swagger about you to succeed. I'm coming in the game as a
Battle Rapper. I want to resurrect the lost art of Emceeing."
Fans chimed in with accolades on his latest Mixtape effort 'Stakes Is
Still High.' "It's packed with dope Emcees. I'm proud of Five Eighty
for doin' his thing and raising the stakes. The stakes are definitely
still high.""You're a wordsmith with purpose. Your words hit the
surface of mind heart and soul. This is definitely the direction that
Muslim artists must be heading towards. Quality production with
quality and thought filled rhymes."
Five Eighty is set to deliver a dose of much needed spirituality,
creativity and lyricism back into the currently dormant state of Hip
Hop. The Bay Area bred wordsmith is raising eyebrows on both a
National and International level with his latest effort "Stakes Is
Still High". The Mixtape has been well received and the Oakland battle
rapper takes you on ride from beginning to end. The momentum of the
album is like shifting gears in a Porsche on a California Highway.
Each track brings its own level of increasing intensity and
excitement. Industry officials from major record labels (G-Unit and
Def Jam Records) have received Five Eighty's Mixtape 'Stakes Is Still
High' with accumulating interests.

Cashius Slay, real name Anthony VaShaun Feher born and raised in Los
Angeles, California.
At the age of 10 Cashius fell in love with Hip Hop. While living with
his grandmother in Los Angeles Cashius turned to music instead of the
street life that surrounded him in his neighborhood. At age 13 Cashius
bounced around from living with aunts and uncles in the greater Los
Angeles area. While attending Gardena High School of Performing Arts,
he wrote his first rhyme then known as GodSun.
Cashius has always been a quiet person, who wouldn't speak unless
absolutely necessary.
It wasn't until he moved to Palmdale, California that he started to
take his craft seriously. While attending Highland High School he was
a member of a group called Ill Squad that consisted of himself and a
close friend ,Illverbalist. Cashius and Illverbalist were very
competitive with each other and that is what gave Cashius the extra
inspiration he needed. Later on he linked up with fellow high school
emcees and formed a crew called Ill Squad. Cashius was a part of
numerous high school battles that took place during his high school
years and was victorious during every battle. Later on when Cashius
attended college he hooked up with beat makers, Basses Loaded when he
recorded his first song titled, "Beauty and The Beat". Now at the age
of 25, Cashius is enlisted in the military where he continues to
record and produce his own music. Cashius will be releasing debut EP
entitled "Broken Silence" and is currently in the process of working
with local artists in the Los Angeles area and producer Illmind
(50Cent, Eminem, Little Brother and Kenn Starr) Nicolay of the Foreign
Exchange and Muneshine of the Wax Reform. Cashius Slay is definitely
an artist to look forward to hearing from in the near future and is a
sure bet to help restore the West Coast hip hop scene.

"On stage, if put on mute you might think Red.October
was auditioning for lead of the newest rock group. Musically and lyrically, you
can tell he possesses more than what most hip-hop artists do. You can tell he's
not playing, he wants your undivided attention, whether it be to bust a sweat
on the dance floor or sit with to discuss the woes of the world, and he's not
going to take no for an answer."
Red.October was born and raised in Texas
and graduated from Full Sail in Florida with
an Associates in Recording Arts and a Bachelors in Music Business on Nov. 2007.
Red is a singer, songwriter, producer, and engineer. Since 14 Red has been rappin and producing since he was
15. Born to an Asian pops and a black mother, Red was exposed to many genres of
music at a younger age and both his parents were on the road when
they were in the military performing.
Red currently has a few projects slated for this year.
Stated earlier, though red is from Texas,
Red's sound cannot be generalized geographically, only musically if that. Red
tries to inherit many different elements into his music, yet keep it accessible
and catchy at the same. Doing more than just a step out the box, creating his
own and deadbolt it shut. Ocky is not like them or any of the one hit, one
sided individuals that swamp the music industry. He is Ocky, the Red.October,
and its been a LONG road, and he just begun.

One cannot help
but go through life with hopes of being successful. Its those who possess
the determination to turn dreams into realities that are bound for and
will be great. Sixx is unlike most who began his destiny at an early
age, with only 4 years under his belt and his continuous drive to devote
his life to fulfilling his dream; for his passion and love for music,
is what sets Sixx apart from the rest. Soon Sixx will front-page and
receive the ovation that is well deserved.
Born in Ingelwood, CA in 1983, Danny Johnson( Sixx) was immediately
brought into a win or lose situation. Gangs, senseless violence and
other various street activities being the only options offered to most
young black males from L.A , Sixx decided to separate himself from all
negativity's and anything that could lead him to becoming another statistic
. He too, found himself dreaming of a career outside of the world he
knew. Sixx relocated to Texas with his Grandparents, which was really
dull and not motivating, so in 1998 sixx found himself back in California
but this time in the streets of Riverside, which was no different from
L.A. Sixx still was motivated to take another route before giving in
and following the path that most young men do from California, so quickly
after Graduation , he joined the Armed forces for 4 years.
Sixx traveled to many different places with the military witnessing
entertainment through the eyes of a fan. He would use music to escape
the worries and woes that the military constantly pressured him with.
Being surrounded by every sound of hiphop and music, Sixx got an vast
opinion and flavor of all styles from the Back rappers to the Mainstream
commercial artist to the down south emcee's. He started to write and
rap, which most of his early tracks where battle driven lyrics. He entered
in all the local contest on and off post for open mics, and quickly
became a natural for rhyming. But it wasn't until late 2003 on his overseas
tour in Germany he met another independent artist with the same drive
and took Sixx under his wing to help him craft his style and find his
swag. While overseas Sixx opened up for artists such as The Young Gunz,
Lil Jon, Fatman Scoop, Bone crusher, Ying Yang Twins, Fabolous, and
many more.
The hype Sixx was receiving caught the attention of many local German
labels and a few major stateside label. But due to the fact he was under
contract with the government he had to turn down all offers until he
fulfilled his contract with Uncle Sam, So Sixx continued to write and
perform so one day he can make this a career and once released he can
pursue and follow his dream and goal to be an entertainer and all around
artist. 2005 January 25 th, his contract was up and he returned
back to California to link up with Francois Wise(Lo key) and Christopher
Alexander( Christopher robbin) for help on getting a movement started
to change the perception of West Coast Music. Creating his own independent
label I.A.R entertainment (It's A RAP!) Sixx quickly released a Mixtape
titled Sixx the Crowned prince which estimated at 9,000 copies sold
thanks to Swap meets and local Ma and Pop stores.
Surprisingly enough, Sixx now
23 years old, is back in Germany, touring and headling shows, Working
with well known German producers and DJ's to be the first American rapping
artist to make a Major impact. He has currently finished 2 mixtapes due
to release in the summer of 07, he has the concept for his first album
drafted and ready to start, with 2 distribution deals offered from 2
major labels.
This hard working rapper, songwriter, and soon to be producer, continues
to provide endless amounts of amazing music for the world to hear. When
asked what Sixx has to offer his fans he simply replies, " Good
ole fashioned entertainment, that will leave you wanting More. Sixx
puts all his energy into a performance which make it worth seeing ,
he gives you way more then just show it's thrill ride and he keeps you
involved.
Sixx entertains the entertainers

There are many different ways to convey talent, sometimes talent is taught, and sometimes others are born with the gift.
As a youth JDP spent much of his time writing. Born on Chicago's south
side, his stories were based on what he has seen and heard. At an early
age his mother instilled the passion for music in him, something he
holds with him to this day. Spending the latter half of his life
outside of Chicago, the artist began writing music at age 13. By 15, he
started his own label and began selling copies of his music out of his
backpack. Unlike other kids, JDP's sole focus was, and always has been...
the music. In 2006 JDP teamed up with partner Jay Torres, to begin Flyy
City Media Group, LLC. Since then the self-proclaimed "future of the
game," has been making steady moves to reach his goal, The Top.
In a time when hip-hop is being scrutinized by many as a dying
movement, its own artists doubt the art form. On the other hand JDP
delivers his own brand of music to the masses. Combining his love of
writing with his love of music, the artist delivers incredible bangers.
Every song is another piece of the puzzle, matching an amazing flow
with humor and intelligence. JDP easily brings out the emotions of a
track, and represents all sides of the spectrum; ushering in what he
calls "Motivation Music." His sound is unique and fresh, and he is what
you call a new voice in Hip Hop! JDP is an artist with the ability to
hit and connect every time he holds a mic, or writes a verse.
In 2007 JDP has been about all work and
no play, and he can show you better than he can tell you. JDP has
already put accolades under his belt including a hit single "Like A
Skateboard," that has received airplay all over the country, as well as
overseas. The song charted in Music Choice and has found its way on
iTunes and numerous mixtapes. A remix to the song is currently in the
works, and features Fly Society artists Hit & Terry Kennedy
(captain of the Ice Cream Skate Team). In June of 2007, he found
himself participating in TheNext.tv's "Making the Next Hit" featuring
Lil Wayne, and also has been the subject of various online magazines
and blogs. JDP made it to the 2nd round of the competition, and
received positive reviews and feedback for his performance. 2007 has
also seen JDP perform with major recording acts such as Rich Boy,
Shawnna, Cap-1 & GLC, as well as gaining songwriting credits for
G-Unit's recording artist Spider Loc.
So what's next for JDP?
With an unparalleled grind
and determination, JDP is poised for great accomplishments. Maturing
his songwriting ability, JDP has worked with numerous up-and-coming
artists in and outside of the Chicago area. The artist has expanded his
talents, by working and writing for R&B artist as well as hip-hop
artist. His collaboration with R&B artist Taylor Mallory "On the
Low," is currently receiving airplay and positive feedback. JDP's
follow up single "I'm Fresh," has already begun surfacing publicity,
scoring a remix with Miami's own Benisour tha Don. His debut project
"Defying Gravity," is still in the works and is planned for a 2008
release. His "Only for the Flyyest," campaign is in full effect with
his Flyy City family, who are steadily making moves as well. The days
ahead look bright for JDP, as he continues to climb toward his goals.
Be on the lookout for the future of hip-hop artist JDP and his music.
Join the movement!

For the past couple of years, the south has been losing
respect in the music industry. Houston
has been particularly persecuted for the lack of substance in hiphop. Although
the south has been labeled as the haven for club rappers, a fresh and upcoming
rapper is emerging on the scene. Uzoy was born July 5, 1988 in Houston, Texas.
Growing up she always had ambitions for the music industry, writing her first
songs in high school and performing in talent shows as a child. Further
pursuing her interest in singing and rapping, she met up with friends who
shared the same goals, carrying out their musical talent throughout high
school.
She started the entertainment group Street Pharm shortly after her friend
R.Rich left the group he was in. At the head of her group, she faced the fact
that good beats weren't offered at reasonable prices for singers. Realizing
that R.Rich needed beats to be able to sing on, she started producing in
October of 2006. Producing off and on now for a year, Uzoy has finally started
to achieve the sound she has wanted to obtain as an R&B producer. The
industry has never been kind to female rappers and hasn't known many female
producers, but it is showing a lot of love.
Currently working on her first project, Uzoy is attending college while doing
collaborations with various artists in the U.S.
With her music breaking stereotypical barriers, Uzoy is sure to dominate the
hip hop scene in the following years.
