Young Lace: My name is Young Lace, and I represent top notch music, top notch bars, and top notch swagger...

Urbansteez.com: How long have you been pursuing a career in the music industry?

Young Lace: I've been working in this industry for going on 3 years now, I plunged into collaborations, recording and doing shows all over in the 12th grade.

Urbansteez.com: What were you into before music?

Young Lace: I played basketball at a high level. I won a state championship in 11th grade with Price High School, and I was number 10 in the city in scoring my 12th grade year at Hollywood High. I wound up going to college in North Carolina, and decided that wasn't what I wanted to do any longer... And now, here I am.

Urbansteez.com: As an artist how would you describe your style and why?

Young Lace: Everything I do, I just keep it swagged up... I can rap about whatever, which is why I keep it close to home by recording records for mixtapes, and doing freestyles... But anybody who looks at me, knows i'm aiming to be a mainstream artist, I got records with everybody... I'm just taking my time, and keeping it calm, cool and collective... yadig?

Urbansteez.com: I dug!! lol ...If you had your pick which label to be signed to, which label would it be and why?

Young Lace: No comment.

Urbansteez.com: Who in your future would you want to collaborate with and why?

Young Lace: I wanna work with Chris Brown, Wayne and The Dream... I've been lucky enough to work with great artists already, but nobody is killing it bar for bar like weezy... And CB is on another level when it comes to this singing and dancing shit, man...

Urbansteez.com: What are you working on now, and when can we expect to hear more of you?

Young Lace: My 2nd street record is actually out right now, being hosted by my man "Southern Smoke" AKA DJ Payne... & it's titled none other then "Mr. Los Angeles". Ya'll can expect to hear my single and my debut video coming in the summer of 08.

Young Lace: Jigga Man, Weezy F, and I like to get my business savvy from Diddy...

Young Lace: It's kinda messed up to be honest when you look on the TV, but a lot of cats of making noise on the local scene, and people are getting noticed...
