Urbansteez.com: So, tell us your name where you are from and what area you represent?
My name is Ciji Michelle and I'm from South Jersey, a small town called Willingboro.
Urbansteez.com: How long have you been modeling?
Ciji: This summer it will be 2 years
Urbansteez.com: What was your reason for becoming a model?
Ciji: It was an accident, I was and still am working for an up and coming magazine as a writer and model scout, I helped book a model, Well she ended up doing a no call no show so I filled in for her, My first time ever in front of a professional camera.. I had so much fun and I haven't stopped ever since.
Urbansteez.com: That's wassup! What would you say is your best feature and why?
Ciji: My eyes
Urbansteez.com: What feature would you say men compliment you on the most?
Ciji: If they are looking at my face then they say either my eyes or smile, if they are looking at my body then they say my legs.
Urbansteez.com: Do you have any crazy modeling stories, if so please tell?
Ciji: I can't think of anything at this time... nothing really crazy has happened to or around me. Well, at least nothing that I can think of at this moment.
Urbansteez.com: What have you learned thus far in your pursuit to becoming a model?
Ciji: To make sure I speak up for myself and my career. People will try and control you and put you in a box that you might not want to be in. You have to have control or at least some say in the jobs you book. Ultimately it's your name, your reputation, your future.
Urbansteez.com: I see, modeling can be a crazy game at times!! Name one nasty habit you have, don't scare the readers lol??
Ciji: Ummm, I pat my weave... I love wearing my real hair but I like weaves as well. But the difference between the two is that weaves make your scalp itch. So, yes I do pat my weave in public too... Some hate it but I don't care, it's my itch so I'm gonna scratch it... [laugh]
Urbansteez.com: Lol... be careful, wouldnt want you to cause a mild concusion! Lol I had cornrolls at one point in my life so Ive been there... Tell us your number one pet peeve?
Ciji: I hate clingy people, I need my space. Doesn't mean that I'm not an affectionate person, just means that I need balance...; Love and space is a great combination.
Urbansteez.com: I feel you...Would you marry for money and why?
Ciji: No, I'm used to people trying to freeload off of me. I mean I'm not where I want to be financially yet, but when I get there, I would hate for someone to try and get close to me solely based off of that. Only the weak do that instead of going out and getting it themselves.
Urbansteez.com: Good stuff!! Where do you see yourself a year from now?
Ciji: Hopefully still surrounded by family and friends... In my career I would love to see a great increase in print and online exposure; even more TV and movie roles. If there offering the jobs and I think they fit me, I'm taking them.
Urbansteez.com: Tell us the positive and negatives about your type of modeling?
Ciji: In the same breath it can be a confidence booster and killer... People will build you up and Critics will tear you down. Random scenic's comment on you and blog about you real crazy and have never met you. Your automatically judged so thick skin is necessary. You won't make it without it. People look at you and determine who you are on the spot. It's not fair but it's the way the game is played and I choose to play it so, whatever hand I'm dealt I'm ready.
Urbansteez.com: Who would you say is your celebrity crush and why?
Ciji: Idris Elba, hands down... He is just so attractive to me...
Urbansteez.com: Name one major "No No" for men?
Ciji: Do not brag and do NOT name drop, it's an immediate turn off, don't do it, at least not with me... It gets you NO WHERE FAST... [laugh]
Urbansteez.com: And how and where can fans see more of you?
Ciji: My new improved website will be up and running this summer the address is www.cijimichelle.com. They can check me out on most of the hip hop websites out now or they can hit me up on my myspace page myspace.com/cijicarr
Urbansteez.com: Any Shot outs?
Ciji: Yes, to my family who supports my movement and to all my new found supporters, I don't want to say fans because they are so much more.... I appreciate you all. To my management Heat rock/ Purjae Management, I definitely appreciate you. And, a big thanks Distant World Records and Stack holders Inc. for all the Ciji Michelle promotion....
